The first of three original animated stories, “Creation of the Akatsuki”, reveals the origins of the new group’s membership. Another new feature, is a brand new storyline which encompasses the past of the Akatsuki and will allow the player to recruit (and even fight) the known members into the Akatsuki, with several new designs exclusively created for the game by Masashi Kishimoto. Summing up playable and support, there are 118 characters in the game, including a new addition to the roster drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. The game also includes a tournament mode where the player can battle against three CPU fighters at the same time, in an all-out battle royale format. Masashi Kishimoto worked in the game by providing the new character Mecha-Naruto as well as new designs for the characters belonging to the organization Akatsuki whose back-stories are being told in this game. It includes new ways of forming teams based on their skills as well as counterattacks and guard breaks. The game features a revamped fighting system.
